Singularity is founded on the idea that there are a multitude of technologies out there that are changing our lives at an exponentialpace. This exponential change is now our collective new normal. To change what we do, we must first change how we think, andtogether, we explore the range of technologies from early signals of opportunity to the ones that are creating the most disruption, and accelerating the convergences shifting human behaviors, industry verticals, and cross-collaborations. This session will lay outthe mindset, toolset, skillsets, and the shifts needed on which the remainder of the program is based.
Today, the foundational strategies for a modern company to survive relies on data. Data is bigger and faster than ever before. It is said that if you are not a software company today, you will be beaten by a competitor that is. Leveraging data is core to that transition. Exponentially advancing trends in machine intelligence, big compute, data automation, sensors and the Internet of Things is changing every aspect of the opportunities for how we leverage, manage and execute data strategy for our companies today. From data liquidity to centricity, late binding and virtuous cycles, the foundations for building data strategies in companies today are more important than ever for surviving in this age of exponentials.
With the convergence of exponential technologies, the future of work will see exponential change across digital transformation, automation of work, hybridization of workplace and diversity of workforce.
Research indicates that 85% of the jobs available in 2030 were noteven invented back in 2016, so that shows how different the world will look in 10 to 20 years from now. In that future, it’s important for us to imagine a world in which our work is better enhanced by automation (e.g. people can focus on jobs that need human ingenuity and have more tedious jobs optimized and automated by AI), where we have a workplace not limited to just working in the office versus working at home (e.g. working in a VR-enabled world), and where wesee true diversity in our workforce (e.g. freedom to focus on work that truly aligns with people’s values). We see these developments making an impact, bringing exponential changes to quantum, space, sustainability and more.
