Nayef Al-Shammari

As Vice President of Production Engineering and Well Completion, Mr. Nayef S. Al-Shammari oversees the extraction of oil and gas across all conventional fields at Saudi Aramco (Aramco).  With over three decades of industry experience, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise in managing complex operations and leading teams. His distinguished career is highlighted by his successful leadership of many mega-projects in various Saudi Aramco fields.

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1995, Mr. Al-Shammari began his journey with Saudi Aramco. He has since held several senior management roles in many of the Saudi Aramco’s organizations. He currently leads corporate programs focused on Well Integrity, Well Control, and Well Interventions. Throughout his career, Mr. Al-Shammari has demonstrated exemplary leadership and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Mr. Al-Shammari has participated in numerous leadership programs, including the Executive Leadership Program at Wharton School in 2022. He is a respected member of the global energy community, actively involved with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and has received numerous prestigious awards both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, he served as an executive member of the Middle East and North Africa chapter of the International Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA).

He has led his team to achieve multiple international accolades and awards. Mr. Al-Shammari has authored more than 30 technical papers and has filed and acquired several patents on various petroleum engineering innovations through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
