Mr. Khalid A. Al-Harthi is currently holding the position of President & MD for Saudi Aramco Jubail Refinery Company (SASREF). Mr. Al-Harthi earned a chemical engineering degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals and holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. Prior to his appointment as SASREF President & CEO, he held the position of Gas Plant Director since 2016 where he covered the position for several gas plants, including, Haradh Gas Plant, Berri Gas Plant, Wasit Gas Plant and lately Khursaniyah Gas Plant.
Mr. Al-Harthi began his career as Process Engineer at Yanbu NGL Fractionation Plant back in 1994. Since then, he worked in several functions as Process Engineer including operations, maintenance and engineering. He was also, assigned as Project Engineer at Foster Wheeler Company in the UK from 2000 until 2002. After his first 11 years as Process Engineer, he was assigned to work as Gas Marketing Specialist to oversee the whole Kingdom Gas and NGL supply and demand, value creation and customer allocation. Starting from the year 2009 and for the following 7 years, he was assigned to several workstreams management positions in engineering, operations and maintenance at various plants, including, Juaymah NGL Fractionation Plant, Berri Gas Plant, Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant and Haradh Gas plant.
Mr. Al-Harthi has completed numerous leadership events since joining the company, including the Saudi Aramco Management Development Seminar and Safety Leadership Program. He served as an Executive Committee member for Gas Processing Association, GCC Chapter from 2018 to 2020, Executive Committee member for MEPEC 2024 and currently a member of the Board of Fadhli Plant Cogeneration Company (FPCC) since 2022.
