Develop strategies, processes and systems to optimize procurement decision making for strategic, high value procurements that requires Service Review Committee approval.
Khalid currently leads Saudi Aramco’s Procurement function, including four (4) Departments responsible for procuring $40+ billion of materials and services annually in support of Saudi Aramco’s capital program and critical operations. Additionally, he oversees the Company’s $5 billion inventory assets and the Corporate In-Kingdom Total Value Added (IKTVA) program.
Khalid is a graduate of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. He started his career at Saudi Aramco in 1992 as a Purchasing Representative. Since that time, Khalid’s career has spanned the entire Supply Chain and beyond, holding various technical and management positions in several organizations, most recently as the Director of Operations Procurement Department (OPD), but also including roles in Projects Procurement Department (PPD), Contracting Department (CD) and multiple positions in Project Management (PMT).
