Faisal A. Al-Hajji was appointed as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Saudi Aramco on April 1, 2022, after serving as Executive Head - HR since August 2021. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of all Human Resources functions at Saudi Aramco, the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals enterprise, and the largest provider of crude oil to global markets.
In addition to overseeing the day-to-day HR operations for over 73,000 employees from more than 93 different countries, he is responsible for programs that serve more than 410,000 dependents, retirees and contractors, and 73,500 affiliates. Under Al-Hajji’s leadership, Saudi Aramco continues to expand on its efforts to set policies and governance to promote Saudization. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Al-Hajji is a board member of the Aramco Overseas Company (AOC), Aramco Far East (China); SADCO and Tayaran. He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Leading National Academy (LNA) and, in 2019, he was the Founding President of the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Chapter. Al-Hajji holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Arizona.
He completed numerous Executive Development programs including the Executive Education Program at Wharton in 2014; the Advanced Management Program from Columbia Business School in 2017; the Oxford Energy Seminar at Oxford University in 2019 and HR Strategy in Transforming Organizations from London Business School in 2021.
