As the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s Energy & Resources Industry, I blend the knowledge and skills from previous experiences in the oil, gas and energy industries to drive digital transformation for organizations across the energy sector. I work with energy operators and service providers, technology partners and government officials to drive the transition to clean energy, while providing equal access to all. My team and I strive to accelerate the energy transition and reduce carbon emissions while effectively meeting the world’s growing energy demand with renewable sources.
Prior to joining Microsoft, I served as Google Cloud’s Vice President of Oil, Gas and Energy. Previously, I held the roles of CEO of BP Angola, Head of Deepwater Horizon Claims and Spokesperson for BP, as well as Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Subsurface for BP. I started my career path with a broad education including a BS in Chemistry and Literature from Northwestern State University, an MS in Geology and Geophysics from the University of New Orleans and an MS in Business from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
As an advocate for pioneering climate-tech energy startups, I seek to support and foster innovation that will enable next-generation leaders to achieve the energy transition. Through both my professional and personal experiences, I combine my passion for sustainability and leadership across a variety of communities. I am a proud member of several councils and boards including the Geology Foundation Advisory Council for the University of Texas, Switch Energy Alliance, American Bureau of Shipping and INROADS Inc. National Board of Directors.
My biggest hope is to leave the world a better place.
